Bill joined the SG team in April 2026 to help grow the Commercial Finance lending efforts in terms of sourcing new opportunities and contributing to the strategy and direction of the group.  Bill has been in the lending business for over 30 years and has been part of the Southeast U.S. financial community for the past 25 years.  Bill’s strengths include building working relationships with Sponsors, Consultants, Lenders and other financial professionals and developing creative financing solutions for prospective borrowers.

Just prior to SG Credit, Bill spent 3 years helping to build a competing lower middle market lender.  Prior, Bill was with Ares in Atlanta for nearly 8 years.  After earning his MBA from SUNY Buffalo, Bill started his career in New York City with Royal Bank of Canada.  He has also spent significant time with HSBC in the 1990s and CIT in the 2000s.  In addition to his primary origination responsibilities, Bill has experience underwriting and managing relationships.
